What is Altitude sickness?

Altitude sickness in the disease that is caused by the scarcity of the oxygen felt at the high altitudes. The symptoms of the altitude sickness are sudden acute headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. The scarcity of the oxygen causes contracts the arteries and veins in the brain that lead to sudden headaches.

Even the blockage of nose is observed in some individuals. Temporary sleep Apnea is also found in some cases. The circulation of the blood in the body is considerably affected in the altitude sickness. Altitude sickness can affect your lungs and brain. When this happens, symptoms include being confused, not being able to walk straight (ataxia), feeling faint, and having blue or gray lips or fingernails. When you breathe, you may hear a sound like a paper bag being crumpled. These symptoms mean the condition is severe. It may be deadly.
